Atlantic City Casinos to Open July 2nd

Most Atlantic City Casinos will reopen today, July 2nd after being closed for over 3 months due to the Corona Virus COVID 19. The reopening of casinos is not without restrictions however, and one casino, Borgata, has decided to wait until more favorable conditions are available before reopening their doors.

Beginning today July 2nd, all casinos except the Borgata, Caesars, Bally’s and Harrah’s will reopen, with Caesars, Bally’s and Harrah’s opening tomorrow July 3rd. The Borgata at the time of this article has not announced when it will reopen, only stating they will wait for better conditions and when restrictions are lifted before opening their doors once again. So what restrictions are keeping Borgata from opening?

Believe it or not, gamblers visiting the Atlantic City Casinos will not be able to smoke or drink while on the casino floor and occupancy is limited to 25%. Some gamblers may in fact like the no smoking policy, but Atlantic City tried such a ban a few years ago which only lasted for 20 days as visitors stayed away resulting in the smoking ban to be lifted. The no drinking policy will affect most visitors as it is not only alcohol being banned, but all drinks as casino visitors must keep their masks on at all times.

We ourselves will not be visiting Atlantic City even though we do miss the town, especially now in the summer months. Instead we will continue to play online at live dealer casinos which give you a close experience to actually playing at a land based casino in person. Live dealer online casinos allow you to play at a brick and mortar casino online right from home being connected by a live streaming feed. Play popular games like blackjack, baccarat, roulette, super 6 and casino holdem with a real live person as the dealer.

If you live in the USA and want to play at a USA live dealer casino see our full and complete live casino reviews and find the live online casino which best catches your attention. All the live online casinos we recommend allow USA players and have outstanding reputations for easy USA deposits and fast withdraws. Also with a real live person running the games and not a computer, you can be confident the games are fair.

We look forward to the day when we can visit Atlantic City again and enjoy a drink and a smoke while sitting at the tables, but until then we will choose to continue to play online where we are safe from the Corona Virus and can smoke and drink at our pleasure. If you too want to play online see our full listing of the best USA live online casinos and sign up as a new player today. Be sure to use one of our links to visit the live casino to make sure you are eligible for any special promotions and bonuses being offered.

As more information becomes available on the full reopening of the Atlantic City casinos we will post that information here so be sure to check our blog going forward. We hope the Corona Virus subsides and/or a vaccination is available soon so we can not only visit Atlantic City but get back to a more normal life here in the United States and abroad.
